DA helps you with math - could it be your type?

Keywords: Mathtype desk accessory application program software review
Text: Mathtype is a Desk Accessory that allows construction of virtually any mathematical expression by means of simple point-and-click techniques. All constructions are easily portable from one document to another via the scrapbook. Type style and spacing are selected automatically according to standard mathematical printing practice; the space bar and arrows are never used for spacing. Lines for fractions, radical signs, and grouping symbols expand automatically to accommodate content. Pull-down menus list templates for virtually every elementary construct. Macros can be made for special and frequent use. Adequate tutorials are provided, and the entire application can be practiced and learned before committing to a purchase by using the freely distributed demonstration disk, TryMathType. This disk is nearly a replica of MathType; the only differences being that printing is bit-mapped, and all print-outs have X's drawn through them as in the example below. The examples here are printed at half the size in which they were constructed. TryMathType is in the SMUG library. The program is by Design Science, 6475-B East Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 392, Long Beach, Calif. 90803; (213)433-0685. It retails for $149.
