Four things I found (and one thing I didn't find) by searching the online database of White House publications

You can search the White House's database of publications via e-mail. To send requests to the response system, enclose them in the body of a message addressed to publications@whitehouse.gov. For general information, send the command "help" in your message body. To search for a particular topic, use the command "topic" followed by your search request. The command "send index" will send you the complete file index (about 400kb).

Of the estimated 120,000 to 140,000 daily recipients of electronic documents issued by the White House, 85% are under age 50; 80% are male; 75% are college educated; and 50% have a post-graduate degree, according to research done at MIT.

  1. Number of times "Internet" was found in the online White House publication database: 46
  2. Number of times "Information Superhighway" was found in the online White House publication database: 47
  3. Number of times "National Information Infrastructure" was found in the online White House publication database: 441
  4. Number of times "health care" was found in the online White House publication database: 1102
  5. Number of times "Socks the cat" was found in the online White House publication database: 0. Dissapointing.
