The MBONE, being a somewhat sophisticated service, requires a no less complex infrastructure for it to work as expected. It is probably the Internet service that consumes the greatest amount of network bandwidth per user. A few items are required before you can really enjoy what makes the Internet not only a giant distributed database but also a place to meet people, to share projects, and to transmit knowledge to others by a person and not by a lifeless document. These requirements include MBONE hardware, network bandwidth, multicast capability, an MBONE feed, and any platform-specific items.
